Music Is Terrible!

What the hell is going on here?  What is this?  Is that supposed to be a reference to Jim Morrison?  Do these children even know who Jim Morrison even was? Mostly, why is it so terrible?  Help me Wikipedia you’re my only hope.

Here is the main thing that is bad in this song and by extension this ‘metalcores’ business: the crushing, suffocating self-seriousness of it all.  I understand that to them this is not a joke, but shouldn’t they have enough self-awareness to realize how silly it all is, even a little bit? Pretending to be lying dead with a spreading pool of fake blood?  Are they 13 year old girls?  Oh right, their target audience are.
